Hi my love, it is my first Newsletter Yayyy!!!!!!

someday last week I experienced something we all struggle with, and that gave me the inspiration on the topic I discussed in this newsletter. read to find out what it was.

I’m so tired; I don’t want to do anything.

We have all experienced moments in our lives when we feel tired and unmotivated, and all we want to do is stay in bed and scroll through social media or binge-watch a series. In fact, earlier this week, I felt that exact same way.

Lack of motivation to accomplish necessary tasks is something we all struggle with occasionally. Today, I will share my personal secret for maintaining productivity even when lacking motivation. (remember to keep it confidential love, it is only for Better Me Girl's .)

Remember, I told you earlier this week I felt unmotivated and tired, but even with that feeling I knew I had to be productive that day and I couldn’t procrastinate, because I had a deadline I had to meet. So, here is was what I did.

I decided to focus on lesser task that I could get done in a couple of minutes. And that involved me checking my emails, getting up from my bed to make it. Clearing out the dishes and writing out a to do list for the day. When I got done on that task I felt a little more motivated.

The next thing I did was to get my body moving, so I took a walk. It is proven that once you create physical momentum through movement, you will feel more energized and possibly more prepared to be productive. Honestly I felt so energized and happy after that walk.

So after that, I decided to get started on what I needed to do , not gonna lie, I still wasn’t really productive. I was spending so much time on a task and still getting next to no result, so I decided to take out all distraction. That meant me putting my phone away so I could concentrate more, and that really worked. I managed to complete the task and I felt extremely relieved.

Here are some other tips you could use when you feel less motivated to be productive: 

  •  You could try zooming out from the task and looking at the bigger picture. This means asking yourself the questions: Why do I need to complete this task? What are the consequences of not completing it? This will help you realize that completing it at the end of the day is for your own benefit, and there is no need to procrastinate.

  • You could also try bribing yourself. For instance you could say, if I get this task done then, I get to do this or eat that. This method is one of the few method I use quite frequently to get things done when I feel less motivated.

  •  Another thing you could do is to break the task in to smaller tasks , that way you would feel less overwhelmed on more motivated after completing the smaller tasks.
