Don't worry you are making progress, don't quit
How to remain consistent even when you are not seeing progress
hey my love,

Don’t worry you are making progress, don’t quit
There are times when we feel like the right thing to do is just to quit on a thing, especially when we do not see progress and just feel like we are wasting our time. It is totally normal to feel this way especially because we are human and we are motivated by growth and progress. But it is not in all cases that quitting is actually the right call.
Earlier this week I felt like quitting on a project I was working on because things weren’t going as planned and it just began to feel like I was wasting my time. I was putting in so much effort and I just felt like I wasn’t getting the result I deserved. After speaking to a friend about this decision, two things that my friend said struck a cord and that made me change my decision about quitting.
The first thing that my friend said was, “Success doesn’t happen overnight it takes time, so don’t expect this to be any different.” This hit me hard because it is so true. Success takes time and effort. Even looking at successful people’s stories and their path to success you would see how much time and effort they put before they got to where they are. So why was I willing to give up after just a short time of doing this, I had not even put as much time as some other people had. After realizing this, I just knew it wasn’t right for me to quit.
The other thing that struck a cord was, “ You are making progress, you are just not seeing it.” The experience you are gaining is progress. The failures you have experienced are valuable lessons that you have learnt. You are not in the same place as you were when you started, there are certain things that you have learnt on your journey. So doesn’t that qualify as progress? Sometimes we only see progress in a big way and that’s wrong, because progress is also happens in the little things that we deem insignificant.
After pondering on this two things, I just knew it was wrong to just give up now and I decided to give it another shot. With that being said I would be giving you a few tips on how to stay consistent even when you are not seeing progress and you feel like quitting. So sit back, relax and get ready to learn also don’t forget to thank me later.

The first tip would be to give yourself a “last time to give it your all and try your very best”. So when you feel like quitting maybe because you feel like you are not seeing result or you are just wasting your time give it a last time. set a time for yourself maybe a year, a few month, whichever works for you that you will fully dedicate yourself to doing this thing to the best of your ability. If after doing your very best within this stipulated time, you do not make any progress then you can quit. But remember give it your very best last try before you quit.
The second tip would be to remember your “why?”. Remember why you started, remember what motivated you to start this stuff. Remember how excited you were to start this stuff and the expectations and dreams you had. Are you just willing to give up on all of that?
Remember it is not a race it is a journey. Many times that we feel like we are not making any progress, it is because we are busy comparing ourselves to another person. Not because someone is making ten times the progress you are making doesn’t mean you are not making any progress, you are. So don’t spend your time comparing your progress to another person’s own rather celebrate the little progress you make each day.
which leads us to our next point, celebrate your little wins, the little progress you make each day. If it is getting one subscriber on your Youtube channel, or getting 5 views on your blog post or getting one person to buy your product, all of this little wins celebrate it because it shows you are making progress, keeps you positive and helps you to enjoy the journey.
Another point would be to stay focused on one thing, “A master of all is a master of none.” You wouldn’t see any progress if you are trying your hands on so many things at once. Eliminate distraction and focus squarely on that thing you want to see progress in and be committed to improving and doing better everyday. In no time you will see result.
The last point would be to, remain patient and stay consistent. Believe in the “Compound Effect”. The “Compound Effect” is about how small actions, executed consistently can lead to hugely successful results. So even if you are not seeing any result now just keep putting in the work and remain consistent and overtime your effort will pay off.

Failure is part of the process so don’t let it hold you back, keep going.
Don’t let the fear of what other people will think control your life, be unapologetically yourself.
Great successful people did not have it all figured out, they just started from somewhere, so just start.
