Having a bad day? here's what to do.

What to do when you are having an off day or just feeling unmotivated to do anything

Hey my love,

Having a bad day or just feeling unmotivated, here's what to do

This past week was something. My Monday started on a very chaotic note, everything that could go wrong seemed to be going wrong. You know those days you have when everything just seems to be going not as planned, that was my Monday. But regardless of that, things seemed to be taking a good turn by the middle of the week until Friday came and I just came down with this feeling of lethargy and I just couldn't get myself to get anything done. While battling with this feeling, I got inspired to talk about it in this week's newsletter.

There are days you just wake up and you really don't have the energy to get anything done, and all you want to do is just lay in your bed and do nothing. If you have experienced this or experiencing this, you are not alone and so many other people have felt like this at one point in their life. So there is no need to feel bad for feeling this way.

One thing you should do, when you are feeling this way is to take a break. You might be feeling this way as a result of overworking yourself or just being stressed and this is just your body sending a signal that you need a break. This is not a time to feel guilty for taking a break. Think of it as a way of recharging yourself so as to be able to be better productive.

Here are a few tips to use when feeling this way;

First tip is to surround yourself with nature. Take a walk, go outside. Getting outside and just being present in nature has a great way of improving your mood. So the next time you are feeling this way just try to indulge in any physical activity outside and let the fresh air kiss your skin. This will really help boost your mood, Give it a try and thank me later.

Another thing you can do is to indulge in a little self-care. This could be treating yourself to something you have always wanted to do, like going to the spa or just getting yourself something you've always wanted or just watching a movie or reading a book you have been looking forward to seeing or reading for a while. This would really help improve your mood.

when feeling this way you could also try spending time with family and friends. spending quality time with your friends or family can really help boost your mood. The next time you are feeling this way rather than hide away, just reach out to people whom you really enjoy their company and spend some time with them. It would help you feel better.

lastly, when you know that you have a lot of things to do, rather than overwhelm yourself with the millions of things that you have to get done, try starting with the little task and reward yourself after completing each of these task. That way you will have momentum to complete the remaining task. I hope you put these tips to good use the next time you are having an off day.

here is the quote for the week;

Give yourself permission to unplug and regroup, without feeling guilty. You can’t do all the things you want to do and be there for others if you do not take care of yourself first.

here is the podcast of the week;

do well to check out this podcast, I learnt some really great stuff from listening to it.

Three things I learnt this week

1.) Even when everything is not going as planned and things just seems to be going south, being positive is the best thing you could do and it will help you access the situation from a better perspective.

2.) Sometimes when everything seems gloom and you just feel lethargic the best thing you could do for yourself is just to take a break and treat yourself to a good time.

3.) Don’t pressure yourself unnecessarily, just do your best and everything will work itself out.

We have come to the end of this newsletter and it means a great deal to me that you read it to this point. If you enjoyed reading this newsletter don’t forget to share with your family and friends.
